You launch a club, you get everyone dressed in nice clothing and badges, what's next? RIDE! So the Inaugural ride was coordinated by the ever able road captain "Dicta".. and boy was it a ride to remember. So the members of REMC were all assembled at Epesok paper mill at 7am, for a briefing and discussion before hitting the streets. It was Oct 1st, the Nigerian 53rd Independence. The skies were confused initially, but when Ride Easy wants a ride, we hold hands and share grace, and just like a father does for his children, the weather and all factors of the journey are insured by God.

At 7:15am, the journey commenced, a smooth and sweet ride through the roads of Lagos en route Epe where the Vice Chairman "Sobag" was prepping a host of life! hehehee.... Anyways, the entire journey lasted about two and a half hours., after which every one converged at the villa of 'Sobag' and the ''Jollofing'' commenced. In typical Ride Easy fashion,  sandwiches were served with chilled Malt drinks, whilst relaxing to some good music. Jokes and stories were shared round the table in typical ''Fotodaddy'' fashion. By the way, for those of us who do know, Fotodaddy aka Kanu Ogbonna, is the FIRST Nigerian to have EVER ridden from Lagos to Europe and back ALONE! He is a lighthouse, and every gathering where he is present, you might as well save up on the Mc allowance, he will entertain you for days!

So after the lounging, it was time to head back to Lagos! And rather than call it a day, why not stop over at the house of the Chairman 'Conyluv' aka Chibuzo Obi. So in typical REMC fashion, members rode along and spent the remaining half of the independence day with the ever able Chairman of REMC, where a second bout of ''Jollofing'' ensued. So much fun with everyone, before heading home to end the day with family members. It was a good ride, it was an  inaugural ride with style, it was Ridden ''Easy'' in signature style. Watch this space, the sequel to this great ride is coming to you shortly...

The 21st of September was a day for the members of REMC to get dressed! An official ceremony conducted by the members of BoT of the club. May I add that this has never be done before in the history of Motorcycle clubs in Nigeria. The ceremony kicked off with an address by the Chairman "Conyluv" of the REMC club, he read the clubs mission and vision statements, discussed the core values of the club, and congratulated us all for being partners of this great vision.

We were given our membership pack, which had been delayed at the airport for weeks( praise the lord!). Anyways, we  went on to "get dressed" we all wore our official club shirts (which I must say is "SICK": the shirt na 10/10mehn!), as we were called out one after the other. The bio data of each member was read and the lapel pins were placed on the left breast pocket by the chairman, sealed with a formal handshake and 'welcome' by the Chairman and Vice chairman. The lapel pins placed on each member was as per membership level, categorized uniquely by the colour of the pin. The membership pyramid of the club ranks from the prospect level through to the members white, members red, through to the member black which is the highest level of the club membership , and then the BoT.

So now we are DRESSED, it is safe to go out and play! So if you are driving or riding by, and you see good looking gentlemen and lady wearing a well tailored, exquisite looking red shirt with a huge bike logo at the back, take a second look and maybe a picture, because you have just spotted the Motorcycling club that is REMC: a club dedicated to changing the perception of who a biker is.

REMC CLUB LAUNCH

The club was launched officially on the  21st September 2013. It was an event of class, sophistication, and ofcourse celebrations. Bikers from all parts of the country attended, to show their support and to celebrate with us. The event did not only mark the official launch of the club, but also signified the new definition of who a "biker" is. In theme with what REMC stands for, the presence of senior officers of the Road safety was felt, as they asked questions, gave suggestions and commended the efforts we put in as a club citing our vision and mission for Motorcycling in Nigeria.

Oh yes, we are here and here to stay! Our core values are not nice recital words, oh no they are not, they are words of great meaning and significance. We are people of : Integrity, Humility, Faithfulness, Responsibility, and Accountability. We are bikers, we are motorcycle lovers, we are people with responsible adventure, we are here to redefine motorcycling! A famous man once said, all the capital you need to make a business successful is your "mind": your mind is your biggest capital, and your passion just fuels it onto success. I am proud to say the minds of our BoT and every member of this club is right and well invested in REMC, and the passion we have for the club and its vision can not be over emphasized :we are the coffee bean club!

Do you love riding, do you possess the qualities we require, and are you ready to make a difference in your life and that of your immediate environment on a Motorcycle? Then visit our website on www.rideeasymc.com, ask, seek and you shall find....
